Today marks the beginning of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This national campaign was founded in 1985 to create awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research. The statistics are that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
During this month, you may find yourself surrounded by pink– on NFL jerseys, in your morning newspaper, or even on National Monuments. These are all efforts to raise awareness for this disease that has over 2.8 million survivors in the U.S. alone.
When buying Jody’s Popcorn, consider buying our sweet & salty Kettle Corn colored in pink. A portion of all proceeds are contributed to Breast Cancer Research at the Leroy T.
